It has a rounded V-neckline, dropped shoulders, and flat elastic at the cuffs.

A-line silhouette with an 83cm length and large pockets.

Easy to take on and off.

But sometimes I keep it on even after leaving the kitchen.

That's when I thought:

“Let's use this pattern to sew a collarless short coat.”

A short coat I can wash at home.

I'm thinking of sewing it from kimono fabric.

Now then? Which of my kimonos should I take apart?

丸めのVネックライン、ドロップショルダー、袖口に平ゴムを通しました。

Aラインのシルエットで着丈は83㎝、大きめのポケットを付けました。

脱ぎ着が楽です。

お台所を出てからもそのまま着ていることがあります。

そこで思いつきました。

「この型紙を使って衿無しのショートコートを縫いましょう」

家で洗えるショートコート。

着物地から縫いたいと思っています。

さて？私のどの着物を解きましょうか？😊

絹地の着物は軽くてあたがかいです。

以前、ライナー付きで縫ったこともあります。

ライナーは二種類の着物地でキルト地を作り、それから作りました。

Nankanage (Kumamoto Prefecture) 塩山の南関(なんかん)あげ（熊本県）

A traditional food passed down since the Edo period (1603~1867) in Nankan Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.

It's fried tofu about 25cm per side that doesn't need draining when you use it.

It keeps well at room temperature for about 2-3 months.

I ate it in miso soup.

This was my first time; it soaked well and delicious.

The second time, I added more.

I like its soft texture.

I think it would be good in salads, stir-fries with meet and visitable, or even as a topping for rice bowls with egg, which I love.

熊本県南関町に江戸時代から伝わる伝統食品です。

一辺が25㎝ほどの大きさで油抜き不要の揚げ豆腐です。

常温で２～3か月程度の長期保存ができます。

味噌汁に入れて食べました。

初めて食べたのですが、お味がよく染みて美味しかったです。

二回目はもっと多めに入れました。

柔らかな食感が気に入っています。

サラダや肉と野菜炒め、私の好きな卵とじ丼にも合いそうです。

幼なじみかからいただきました。

ご主人様がそだてたサツマイモ🍠海外旅行のお土産と一緒に

新幹線に乗ってやってきました🚄

Changing My Email Address.メールアドレスの変更

I decided on a new email address.

There's still more than half a year until the changeover date.

But I think it might be fun to start the new year with a new email address?

The one I'm using now is my last name.

Starting in the new year, I'll use an email address with my first name.

My first name will be followed by a few numbers.

Those numbers are my family's birthdays.

They're also my “lucky numbers.”

新しいメールアドレスを決めました。

変更期日までにまだ半年以上あります。

けれど新年を新しいメールアドレスで迎えるのも楽しいかな？と思います。

今使っているのは私の苗字です。

新年からは私の名前のメールアドレスにします。

私の名前のあとに数字がいくつか続きます。

それは私の家族の誕生日の数字です。

それらは私の「ラッキーナンバー」でもあります😊

最後の数字は孫娘のお誕生日です🎊

Cherry blossoms blooming in winter. 冬に咲く桜

That day's mountain hike felt like winter itself.

I put on another jacket I'd brought along.

“It seems autumn has ended and winter has arrived,”

“The autumn leaves might be peaking earlier than last year,”

I chatted with everyone.

We got down, cherry blossoms were blooming.

October cherry (Jūgatsu-zakura), winter cherry (Fuyu-zakura), and kobuku-zakura.

Each had several small flowers in bloom.

A friend knowledgeable about flowers told us about cherry blossoms in winter.

その日の山登りは冬のような様子でした。

私は持参したジャケットをまた一枚着ました。

「秋は終わって冬が来たようですね」

「昨年よりも紅葉狩りは早いかもしれませんね」

皆さんと話しました。

下山した広場では桜が咲いていました。

十月桜（ジュウガツザクラ）冬桜（フユザクラ）そして子福桜（コブクザクラ）🌸

それぞれにいくつかの小さな花が咲いていました🌸

花に詳しい友人から冬の桜のお話を聞きました🌸

昨年の紅葉狩りは12月の第二週でした。

鮮やかな見事な景色に私たちは幾度も🎵歓声をあげました😊

今年は昨年よりも早めの🎵歓声になりそうです？😊

Freezer trays.冷凍おかず用トレー

I bought two S-size.

You can use them repeatedly and has several sizes.

They're microwave-safe too.

I'll use them next month for meals when my friends come over.

Frozen side dishes are useful for hiking day lunches and that day's dinner.

I bought a recipe book for freezer meals.

There seem to be a few tricks to enjoying them.

Sサイズを二個買いました。

繰り返し使えて大きさは何種類もあります。

電子レンジにも使えます。

来月こちらに来る友人方のお食事作りに使うためです。

山登りの日のお弁当にもその日の夕食にも冷凍したおかずは便利です。

もちろん外出して帰りが遅くなった日の夕食にも。

冷凍保存用のレシピ本を買いました。

それらを美味しく食べるにはちょっとしたコツがあるようです。

お料理好きの友人方が集まります。

このトレーとレシピ本もお話の種になりそうです😊
